5 Things You Should Not Do With Your Bicycle Wheel

Bicycle wheel has same function as the other components of a bike. If we see deeper to its function, you will find that bicycle wheel is more important than another component such as lamp, sticker, disk brake , bike seat or even the standard brakes. We can still ride the bike even without those things, but can you imagine if you lose your bicycle wheel? I am not sure you can still ride it normally and safely , because I’m sure you must have a big problem ! Your bike also will not be well performed. To protect your bicycle wheel, I have 5 things you should not do to your bicycle wheel we will start from the first:

1. Do not cross on the slick of gasoline.

Bicycle wheel is made from rubber, and it is so sensitive touching with gasoline or another vehicles fuel. If you cross on the slick of gasoline, the rubber component will be expanding and slow but sure the bicycle wheel will be damaged seriously and you cannot use it anymore forever. You should remind your kids about it, or you can check the track before letting him/her riding the bicycle on the track.

2. Stay away from oil and dust

Oil and dust are the most cruel enemy for any bicycle’s component including bicycle wheel. When the oil adheres to the bicycle wheel, shortly you will see the dust do the same because of the wind forcing. This is the common incident, you will find thick dust adhere on the wheel when oil has stayed even for a while.

3. Do not allow adult boy ride the bicycle.

Customarily, bicycle wheel is used by kid’s bike. Most kid’s bike is still using this bike’s important part, so you must forbid adult boy to ride the bicycle. The wheel has not strength enough to hold over weight of adult’s body weight, so if it still happens, the bicycle wheel could be damaged seriously.

4. Do not allow your kid to ride it on the rock bound track

As we know, bicycle wheel is made from rubber, and some wheels made from hard type and some soft type rubber. However, both of them is not supported for rock bound track. The surface of the wheel is design for soft asphalt, it has sensitive surface so you should remind your kid not to ride it on the rock bound track.

5. Do not set the bicycle wheel for unsuitable bike.

You should have learnt how to set the bicycle wheel up with the standard bike. Add the wheel into the unsuitable bike are bringing on the bike will run unstable.

The necessity of the bicycle wheel is growing up this year, this condition is caused by the conscious of the people that young kids must learn to ride bicycle younger than they used to be so that they can learn how to live healthy. Global warming issues also affect the lifestyle of riding bicycle raise up than last year.

We can treat the bicycle wheel regularly to prevent it from any damage factors, you can also wash it with soft detergent to sweep the dust and oil away from the bicycle wheel. Anyway, why not going to the store to take a look at any bike wheels ?
