Bicycles Frames, How to Treat Them Properly

Looking after your bicycles frames is an activity that should not be abandoned after cycling or even you must treat it properly at least once a week. This activity is important for bicycles frames so that your bicycle will be long life and ready for the next track.

You do not need to be qualified to be able to do reliable routine treatment and do not need to invest in special equipment mechanics too. All you need to have is a willingness to spend time treating your bicycles frames.

Then you need to prepare a set of some tools, chain note, a small paintbrush, old unused toothbrush, bathroom floors brush, degreaser, and lubricant. You can buy all those equipments at the bicycle shop you subscribed.

The first thing you should do is; wash the bicycles frames and all part of the bike with special soap using a hose with medium pressure. Don’t ever try to wash your bike using any high water pressure (steam). High water pressure will make the water come into the mixture component and can not be removed easily.

Use special motor soap or shampoo for most good car. Use the floor brush to clean the tires from any dust, dried mud and other dirt. You must remember that brush the bicycles frames too hard can injure and even damage the surface of the bicycles frames. Use the toothbrush to clean the former part – the difficult to reach, such as around the front derailleur tube, and other. Chain must be paid special attention, you must clean it with a brush while spraying with water from the hose.

Bicycle frame immediately dried with special cloth which is able to absorb water very well. Try to angle the bike to the left and right to remove trapped water entry. Do not forget to stand up the bicycle for several times to let it dry completely. Some bicycle manufacturers make a hole out of water in some parts of the bicycles frames to ease the water flow out.

Do some checks to your component tool / key, bicycles frames, chain, brake and handle bar, almost of those component are easy to broken. If you find any crack on your bicycles frames, you must bring it to your mechanic to be repaired. Sooner is better.

Bicycles frames is the most important part of the bike, you cannot ignore it especially you use it regularly. The easiest way to treat the bicycles frames is avoid the dust, mud,  rock and any muck. By keeping the bicycles frames clean, you can do easier effort when you want to clean all the bike’s part one day.

You also need to ride your bike carefully to avoid crash, scratch or crack to your bicycles frames at least you need to ride very well and normal. If you do this thing, be sure you have avoided your bicycles frames from any danger risk as small as possible. Above of all, riding carefully can avoid from accident.
