By : Maxeka Lumuda
Having your own BMX has been a dream of your life. But to have it, you should consider some important things before you buy it, including buying the BMX frame separately. Why should you do this?
First of all, the BMX frame that is included in the first buy of you BMX bike will be light and strong. Even, the more expensive the price of the bmx, then the frame will be lighter and stronger. It will be good and useful for your need of riding in a long distance and such a rapid speed daily. But what if you use the BMX bike only occasionally? Moreover, if your activity does not involve such a rapid speed and long distance journey, will it be appropriate still?
It will be wasteful if you spend such a high purchasing for your BMX if you do not really need the light and strong frame. Buying separate more moderate weigh and strength can be a good consideration. The reduction of expenses of your budget will be able to manage if you do such a consideration.
Generally, BMX frame is made from various material. The most usual material is known for its lightness and strength. This material is a mixture of chromium and molybdenum. But this is known in the society of experienced biker, since it is also famous for the high price to purchase only the BMX frame. The more logical choice for the young and new biker is the BMX frame from steel. The strength and lightness is moderate, but it is low in cost, so that it becomes the general choice for this inexperienced riders.
The other material of this moderate quality will be from aluminum. This material is common in the BMX riders, which gives extra strength in races, since it provides more strength in the welds of the joints. If you are not intended to involve in races using your new bmx, then making a choice of purchasing BMX frame from one of these materials is a wise option.
The other problem that you need to comprehend before you buy your BMX frame is the matter of size. There are a lot of codes representing the size of the bike that is suitable for certain age of riders. For example, there will be codes using ‘micro-mini’ up to ‘pro XXL’, representing the inch of the bike. Usually, it will be labeled with pro (pro, pro XL, and pro XXL) that is designed for adult above 13 years old, expert for 10-13 year olds, junior for 8-10 year olds, and mini for 7 year olds and under. So it is so much significant to wisely choose the material for your BMX frame and, of course, the size, depending on your activity and need, as well as to be appropriate with the age of the rider.
