Electric power machine was started in 1835 by Thomas Davenport, who built small railway that was operated by the electric motor miniature. Three years later, Robert Davidson built locomotive with electric motor that has faster speed. The development has been regenerating rapidly by professional automotive manufactures, and born electric bicycle, electric motorcycle, electric train and electric car. This time we are going to review about the origin electric bicycle and its source that is claimed developing at the same time electric car, train and motor development as well.

In the 1832 and 1839, Robert Anderson who is a Scotland built the first crude electric carriage component, which was powered by non-rechargeable battery or primary cells. And today, electric bicycle is just a small part of the electric vehicle’s development. This rapid development is supported by the growth of technology and genius mind.

Electric bicycle has some benefits such as renewable electricity. Even though electric bicycle have small level direct emission, all the energy is created trough electric generation, generate waste and emit pollution, at least this energy is generated by a renewable source of power. Electric vehicle like electric bicycle can be designed more efficient and less polluting the air by modifying the generating station. Electric bicycle will be very useful of any environmental.

Efficiency

Talking about the efficiency of electric bicycle, it is no doubt any more that this kind of vehicle is more efficient than motorcycle. Because electric vehicles use different methods of charging, the emission that is produced has been quantified in different ways too. Above of all, electric bicycle is an efficient vehicle. Some controversial is also issued this day in around the world about this kind of vehicles. But, automotive manufactures has been sold many vehicles, and they will be developing this vehicles to reach more friendly perfect technology.

Disadvantages of electric bicycle

Beside of the advantages part, electric bicycle also has disadvantage part. Most of electric vehicles are produced with limited range and power ability. This condition forces people to think twice to buy electric bicycle. Beside that some people think that by using electric bicycle, the real advantage of bicycle as healthy vehicle has disappeared. Bicycle as the only one healthy alternative vehicle will be replaced and it is not different with this day’s condition.

Advantages of electric bicycle

I have written some advantages above, now I will add more points might be forgotten. Electric bicycle can be an alternative vehicle that is safe for nature, it is a good vehicle to replace gasoline vehicle that is very dangerous for atmosphere and environment. Answering the healthy vehicle critic, some manufacture has been modifying the electric bicycle with multi function, which you can use the motor to operate the bike and if you want to have some exercise, you can also use the pedal just like a normal bicycle.

Electric bicycle can be new alternative to safe this world from the threat of global warming. So, which one will you choose, electric bicycle or gasoline motor?

Electric bikes are now designed with many models and styles. It appears as a cheap form of transport for a short distance from home to town for shopping, work or fun in the afternoon with partner, friends or families. Electric bikes are safe for nature, because it does not use gasoline as the fuel. The bikes combine old staircase with the modern technology of a battery-powered engine. This kind of vehicle can be a cheap alternative transportation for family and students.

Before talking about the component and others, it is a good idea to talk about the electric bikes history. The history is started when Baron von Drais made wooden “walking machine” in 1817 to use in the royal gardens. Then the wood or bone shaker bicycle in 1865 with the pedals directly to the front. The first all-metal bicycle, high wheel bike, so named because the front was the length of the rider off the track, was in 1870 with pedals still on the front and had solid rubber tires. Since the bikes have been refined, the front and rear wheels has the same size with hard tires. The pneumatic tire came next, invented by a young doctor named Dunlop.

Bicycles itself were popular in the 1880 and 1890. Men work for the transfer and the ladies were impressed by the bustle and corset manufacturers to use the lighter two-wheeled bicycle. During 1960 and 1970, the “English 3-speed” became popular, followed by a 10-speed bicycle in the 20th and derailleur Century, mining and battery-powered bicycles.

Electric bikes are customarily divided into two categories:

The first is Pedal models, the rider to pedal to help the engine. And the second is motorcycle models with a gas. This kind of bike has no pedals.

These electric bikes are seen as an innovative technology and deserve to be developed more intensive to reach the real goal in the future. This penetration is a new hope for human in this world to get an alternative transportation that is safe for nature and atmosphere. The global warming phenomenal is being discussed by all country in Europe, Asia and Africa. This is not a game or joke. People must start to think from now to reach the green and cool world.

They can now drop their child to school, go to the post-office, bank and complete other domestic works by their electric bike. The best part is there is no need of going to the driving school to get the training as in case of motor bikes and cars. It is as easy as riding the conventional bicycle. Moreover, no license or registration is needed for an electric bike. This is the best weapon to defend the high rising price of petrol.

An electric bike has pedals like an ordinary bicycle, and you can use those pedals to propel yourself under your own power. But it also has an electric motor, which you can use to augment your pedaling. The supplemental power is useful when starting from a stop or when riding an electric bike against the wind. Alternatively, you can let the electric motor provide all the power while you sit back and enjoy the ride. This makes a motor powered bicycle one of the most versatile vehicles around. There are even models that fold up for easy storage or travel, as well as recumbent versions, which will take bicycling to a new level of relaxation (just don’t fall asleep at the wheel!).

You can style an electric bike to look any way you like. If you want it to look like a scooter that’s fine. But it must not have the specifications of a scooter. In most places, an electric bike is not allowed to go above 15 mph. So, strictly speaking, a motor must not drive a bike faster than that. Naturally, if you’re going downhill, your bike will probably go faster than that without pedalling and without the motor.
