As the largest manufacturer of bikes in the world Huffy bicycle is surely a big name in the bicycle industry. This American bicycle Company, Huffy bicycle is the importer and manufacturer of inexpensive mass-market bike. This well recommended bicycle founded by George P. Huffman when he bought the Davis Sewing Machine Company back in 1887. He then moved the factory to Dayton, Ohio. Then seven years later he adapted the Huffy bicycle factory to manufactured bicycles.

Through the years Huffy has produced other products. Some of them including lawnmowers and children’s car seats, but their primary production still the famous Huffy bicycle. This well known company began the bicycle production in 1934. During the times of great depression Huffman believed that people would prefer a cheaper transportation, such as Huffy bicycle. At first the Huffy bicycle workers just produced 12 bikes a day, but then in 1936 the Huffy bicycle production had dramatically increased to 200 a day!

In 1936 too the owner’s son, Horace M. Huffman Jr. joined the Huffy bicycle company and introduced some new manufacturing techniques that increased the production of these amazing bikes, in order to meet the huge demand at that time within 4 years. After the WW II the recession effect of this war makes economy in chaos. During that time Huffy bicycle added a lawnmower division to help offset the effect of WW II. But however, the lawnmower division was sold in the late 1970’s. But during the 1980’s and 1990’s the Huffy bicycle has acquired and sold manufacturers of car seats, strollers and garden tools.

And today, after in the late 1970 when Huffman decided to focus on the production of children’s bike and officially changed its name to Huffy Corporation, the Huffy bicycle continues their tradition in making the quality bicycles and bike parts. The Huffy bicycles has extensive line ups from boys, girls, men’s and women’s bike. Not to mention Huffy bicycle is also has licensed products from Disney and Nickelodeon. With this extensive line of products these great bikes continues to have their biggest share in the American and Canada market in the bicycle industry.
