Joe Murray then moved to Voodoo bikes, while Heilbron and Gerhard still owns and run the Kona Bike. The first Kona Mountain Bikes came into production with the first ever produced Whistler Blackcomb Mountain Bike Park back in 1998. And ever since, riders have used Kona Bike all over the world to explore the rugged terrain and move the aggressive adventurer beyond the highest limits.

Over the years Kona Bike has set their names as a though yet “fun” bike company name. Kona Bike was the first to be “on board” as far as Freeride or “North Shore”.
