Just what is a road bike exactly? Well, this question still been misunderstood even for most experienced bikers in the world. As the name stated, a road bike is a bike to be used on the road , but more specifically a road bike is the synonym for Racing bicycle, or even touring bike. As you can see in any sport cycling events, Racing Bicycle has very unique figure. Their primary characteristics are usually has dropped handlebars and multiple gears. Toughs there are also single and fixed gear varieties. They also use highly pressure narrow tires to decrease the rolling resistance. Founded in December 1975 by Richard Burke and Bevel Hogg, Trek Bicycle is the wholly subsidiary of Roth Corp. a Milwaukee appliance distributor. As the biggest in the industry Trek Bicycle offers excellent bike line-ups including Trek road bike, Hybrid Bikes, Comfort Bikes, Mountain Bikes ,Cruisers Bike, and Kids Bike.

As stated earlier that Trek Bicycle Corp has extensive line of bicycle products. But among those types the Trek road bike has the most extensive line-ups. Trek road bike has a lot of types which include the model Madone, 1 series, 2 series, Pilot, XO, FX, Track, 520, and Portland. But currently the most popular of Trek road bike series is the Madone series. The Discovery Racing team riders has been given the honor to try the new model Madone road bike series during the 2007 Tour de France Bike Race series.

And recently The Trek Bike Corp has announced its new milestone called as the Project one. This service is to offer the customers to customize each and every parts of their bike.
